Mazmazika Version 4: A Karaoke Studio, Smarter Chord Analysis and the Learning Hub for Teachers

11 min read

This is the biggest Mazmazika release so far. The vocal remover has grown into a complete karaoke studio, the Chord Analyzer has learned lyrics and keyboard shortcuts, the Audio Converter now takes video files, and there is something entirely new: the Learning Hub, where independent music teachers can build, publish and sell their own courses. Here is everything that changed, tool by tool.

The Vocal Remover becomes a karaoke studio

The vocal remover still does what it always did: you paste a link or upload a song, and a neural network separates it back into its parts. What is new is everything around that split, and how fast it happens. The heavy engines now run on GPUs, so a typical four-minute song is ready in under a minute on Ultra.

Three engines, up to six stems

  • Ultra (Top Quality) is the top model. It splits a song into 2 stems (voice and instrumental), 4 stems (voice, drums, bass, other) or 6 stems, which add a separate guitar and piano. In 2-stem mode you can keep the backing vocals in the instrumental, and in 4-stem mode a Fine Tune pass cleans the result further.
  • High Quality is the studio-clean engine for the best possible voice and instrumental pair, delivered as 320 kbps MP3.
  • Standard is the fast engine, with up to 5 stems at 128 kbps.

A mixer that feels like a real studio

When the split is done, the result opens as a studio instead of a folder of files. Every stem is its own track, shown either as horizontal lanes with a clickable waveform or as classic vertical channel strips. Each track has:

  • rotary volume and pan knobs, mute and solo, and stereo level meters, so a pan move is something you can see;
  • its own effect rack: low cut, three-band EQ, compressor, warmth, transpose, double, flanger, echo, reverb and limiter;
  • one-tap presets such as Polish, Warm, Air, Hall, Radio and Slapback.

Downloads render exactly what you hear: a single track, the full mix, or a ZIP with every track, with or without the effects.

Synced lyrics, word by word

Switch on Synced lyrics before processing, or add them later from inside the studio. Only the separated vocal is read again; the song is not processed a second time. The words are transcribed from the isolated voice and timed to the music, so the karaoke screen lights them up as they are sung.

  • Word-by-word timing in 16 languages: Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. Songs in any other language still get their lyrics, timed line by line.
  • Right-to-left scripts such as Arabic and Persian are laid out in their correct order.
  • Four screen styles (Spotlight, Flow, Karaoke bar and List) with fonts, colours, glow and backgrounds, plus a full-screen mode for a TV.
  • Edit any line's words or timing, add or delete lines, and go back to the original at any time.
  • Download the lyrics as LRC, SRT or plain text.

Record yourself, and film yourself

Press Record and a three-beat count-in starts the band, then your voice is captured cleanly over the stems. Every take becomes a track of its own, and you can name it while you sing, so you always know which take is which. You can also upload a take you recorded somewhere else.

The stage has a new fifth tab, Your video: record yourself with your camera (or upload a video) while the song plays, and it becomes part of the project. The download menus now offer the mix as audio only, with your video, or as a synced-lyrics video (MP4), where the karaoke screen itself is filmed with the style you chose.

AI voice cloning: hear the song in your own voice

Add a track in your voice re-sings the song's lead vocal in your voice. Record or upload 10 to 30 seconds of yourself singing or speaking, confirm it is your own voice, and a singing voice conversion model sings the separated vocal again with your voice, keeping the original melody, timing and words.

  • Two engines: Seed-VC, the faster one, and SoulX-Singer, which holds the melody very closely and takes about twice as long.
  • Choose the octave and the number of diffusion steps; more steps give more detail.
  • Every clone becomes its own track, so you can compare engines side by side, with the original lead muted and one tap away.
  • It works for songs in any language, because only the voice changes. Your voice sample stays private in your account and can be deleted at any time.

Saved projects that open exactly as you left them

A saved project now keeps the whole session: levels, pans, mutes, solos, effect settings, your takes and your lyrics. It opens again with all its tracks at once, from My Files, which is now a tab of its own with a live count. Re-splitting a saved song with another engine keeps the lyrics you made in the studio.

The whole studio is translated into all 24 languages of the site. Some features, such as the top engines, voice cloning and video, are part of the Pro plan; see the plans page for what each plan includes.

Chord Analyzer: lyrics, shortcuts and a layout you control

The Chord Analyzer result page has been reworked around the way musicians actually practise a song.

  • Arrange the page. Every panel (Player, Controls, Chord Progression, Chord Diagrams, the Vocal Remover mixer and See Also) can be collapsed or hidden, and brought back from a Hidden panels bar above the player. On desktop, panels can be resized and placed side by side.
  • Chord Progression full screen, for reading the chords from a distance while you play.
  • Assign Lyrics. In Grid View, click a beat and type the words sung there; Enter saves and moves to the next beat. Once lyrics are assigned, a karaoke Lyrics panel lights the words up as they are sung, follows the song, and jumps to any line you click.
  • Beat warnings. Attach a note to a beat, such as "watch the key change" or "stop here", lasting as many beats as you choose, so it shows on screen at the right moment.
  • Keyboard shortcuts: Space or P to play and stop, the left and right arrows to seek one second, Ctrl (or Cmd) plus an arrow to seek ten seconds, B to jump to the beginning and M to jump to the middle.
  • Pickup beats at the start of a song are now shown as what they are.
  • Every analysis is kept. An analysis now gets a lasting link and appears in My Files from the first moment, even before you save it, and a shared link to a saved analysis opens for whoever you send it to.

Assign Lyrics and beat warnings are available to subscribers.

Audio Converter: from video to audio

The Audio Converter now accepts video files and extracts their soundtrack. Drop in an MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI, WMV, FLV, 3GP, MPEG, TS, VOB or OGV file and save the audio as WAV, AIFF, FLAC, ALAC, MP3, M4A/AAC, OGG or WMA.

The conversion runs entirely in your browser: your file is never uploaded to our servers, which makes it fast and private. The file size limit has been raised from 200 MB to 500 MB, and the controls now fit comfortably on a phone.

Audio Tools: a multi-track editor in your browser

Audio Tools is now live: a multi-track audio editor that runs right in your browser. Here is what it can do:

  • several audio tracks on one timeline, each with its own play button and a zoomable waveform;
  • segment editing: crop, cut, silence, fade in and out, normalize, pitch shift (with presets), loop, reverse, time shift, copy and paste at the playhead;
  • a live effect rack on every track, the same one as in the karaoke studio, with one-tap presets, and every download includes the effects;
  • recording straight onto a new track, positioned exactly on the timeline;
  • video tracks, including recording from your webcam, with synced playback, the option to strip a video's own audio, and combining your edited audio with the video;
  • drag-and-drop track order and joining tracks end to end.

Facebook and TikTok links

Next to YouTube and SoundCloud, the vocal remover, the Chord Analyzer and the YouTube MP3 downloader now list Facebook and TikTok as supported sources. Paste a link to a Facebook or TikTok video with music in it, and the tool fetches the audio for you: separate the vocals of a viral clip, or find the chords of the song everyone is dancing to. If a link cannot be read, the message now tells you clearly which sources are supported, in your language.

Introducing the Learning Hub for freelance music teachers

The biggest addition in this release is not a tool. It is a place to teach.

The Learning Hub lets independent music teachers create their own online courses, set their own price, and teach learners all over the world, using Mazmazika's tools as part of the lessons. If you teach piano, guitar, singing, theory or ear training, this is for you.

Getting started as a teacher

Open Teach on Mazmazika, create an account (or sign in with the one you have) and choose Become a teacher. A short setup checklist guides you through the rest:

  1. Accept the teacher agreement.
  2. Complete your profile: photo, headline and bio.
  3. Add your payout details.
  4. Create your first course.
  5. Send it for review.

Our team reviews your first course before it goes live. After one approval, your later courses are published directly. You keep the rights to everything you create.

Building a course

Creating a course asks for just a title. Every course gets a cover drawn from its title automatically, which you can replace with your own artwork at any time. The course builder has five clear tabs: Content, Tests & tasks, Files, People and Publish.

Lessons are built from blocks, and you never start from a blank page: pick a lesson recipe (Repertoire, Technique, Theory or Aural, or start from scratch) and the lesson arrives with its steps laid out, ready for you to fill. Blocks speak a musician's language: write something, add a video, add sheet music, add a play-along, add audio, MIDI, a PDF or an image, or add a quiz, an assignment or an exam.

Practice tasks with real music tools

This is what makes the Learning Hub different. A lesson can hand the learner a practice task in one of 17 Mazmazika tools, including Ear Training, the Metronome, the Instruments Tuner, Scales & Chords, the Piano, the Notes Sheets Editor, the Chord Analyzer, the Vocal Remover, the Music Generator, the Beat Maker, the Music Radios and the Music Theory lessons. The learner opens the tool with the task already set up, does the work, and the result comes back to the lesson and into your grading inbox.

Some tools, such as the Metronome, the Tuner, the Piano, Scales & Chords, the Notes Sheets Editor and the Piano Visualizer, can even run inside the lesson page itself.

Teaching, not just publishing

  • Q&A: learners ask questions from inside a lesson, with attachments, and you see where each question came from.
  • Grading: quizzes, exams and assignments with question banks and rubrics, plus tool results, all in one grading queue.
  • Notifications: you hear about new students and new questions, and learners hear when their question is answered, in the app and by email, in each person's own language.
  • Your workspace, your way: switch off the modules you do not use, such as Q&A, assessments, messages or reports, and switch them back on later. Nothing is deleted.
  • A public teacher profile: build your own page at /e-learning/teachers/your-name from widgets (text, images, a photo gallery, video, audio, sheet music, links and your courses), arranged by dragging.

Selling your courses

You decide whether a course is free or paid, and at what price. Learners pay securely through Stripe. Free preview lessons let anyone try a lesson before buying, and every published course gets its own page in the public course catalogue, where learners can browse by topic and find you through the teachers index.

Your earnings are transparent. Your statement shows every sale with the payment fee, the platform commission and your share, and whether each amount is pending, available, on hold or paid out. You can download it as CSV or as a monthly PDF. When your balance is available, you request a payout and it is sent to your bank account. Your bank details are stored encrypted.

For learners

Learners get a Today page that shows what is due, where to carry on, and the newest message from their teacher. Lessons show a clear step rail with progress ticks and hand over to the next lesson when one is finished. The whole Learning Hub is available in 30 languages, including right-to-left layouts for Arabic.
